Valley Dirtbags
About the club
We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth travel baseball organization serving the Shenandoah Valley — built by families, powered by volunteers, and played with dirt on our sleeves.
What is a Dirtbag?
It's simple… it's a mentality, it's a way of playing the game, it's playing with relentless effort and being willing to get dirty, it's responding in the face of adversity, it's never quitting, it's putting the team over one's self, it's out working every opponent in the other dugout!
The Valley Dirtbags are committed to developing our youth — both on and off the field. We believe true development comes through both success and failure. It's about learning how to handle adversity, respond to challenges, take ownership, and continue growing — not just as baseball players, but as young men.
Founded in 2021 and taking the field for the first time in 2022, the Valley Dirtbags have continued to grow year after year. Today, our organization proudly represents 5+ teams and more than 60+ players from all over the Shenandoah Valley.
Starting a new travel baseball team or organization is easy. Building something that lasts, developing players the right way, and sustaining success year after year is much harder.
We're proud of what we've built, but even more proud of where we're going. There may be imitators, but there are zero replicators.
This is Valley Dirtbags baseball.
Our mission
To develop Shenandoah Valley youth athletes through competitive travel baseball — building skill, character, and community in equal measure, while keeping the game affordable and accessible for every family.
Everything we do on and off the field comes back to three words. They're not just a slogan — they're how our kids are coached, how our teams are built, and how our families show up.
Hard Work
We outwork the expectation. Early batting practice, extra ground balls, etc. — the little details win ballgames and build habits that last long after the last out.
Togetherness
We build a clubhouse where every kid belongs and every parent has a role.
Swagger
We play with confidence, toughness, and respect. Swagger means believing in yourself, trusting your teammates, and competing with an edge while respecting every opponent.
Board of Directors

Hard Work. Togetherness. Swagger.
That's the standard on every Dirtbags roster. Come see it for yourself.
